Sheriff’s Office Recognizes Employees For Perfect Attendance

Shelby County Sheriff Mark H. Luttrell, Jr. has recognized hundreds of employees with the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office for not missing any work days in 2005 due to illness.

The 431 employees, 200 from the Law Enforcement Division, 154 from the Jail Division and 77 from the Administrative Division, make up almost a forth of the 1,993 persons on staff at the Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Luttrell and the division chiefs of the Department, Chief Deputy William P. Oldham, Chief Jailer James Coleman and Chief Administrative Officer Harvey Kennedy, praise the employees for their dedication.

Many of the personnel have had consecutive years of perfect attendance.
