Law Enforcement Promotions at the Sheriff’s Office

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office will be promoting several Deputies to command positions at a ceremony this week. Those achieving the rank of Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain, Inspector and Assistant Chief will be honored.
“These people have shown professionalism, dedication, and an ability to lead. They are to be commended for their efforts. All citizens of Shelby County should be very proud of these Deputies who have been selected to serve in command positions within the Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Division,” said Shelby County Sheriff Mark H. Luttrell, Jr.
Those being promoted had to pass a battery of written tests for their specific rank and were personally interviewed by a panel of citizens who were invited to rate the candidates on their leadership abilities.
