William KobeckA RESERVE Shelby County Sheriff’s Deputy has been relieved of duty after he was arrested early this morning by the Memphis Police Department. William M. (Mark) Kobeck, 41, a Reserve Deputy since 1991, was charged with Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Official Detention.

The Memphis Police Officers and Deputy Kobeck exchanged words and Kobeck was placed under arrest. He resisted and there was a brief struggle.

Kobeck was issued a misdemeanor citation and charged with Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Official Detention. A Sheriff’s Office investigation is underway. Kobeck has been relieved of his Reserve duties pending the outcome of the investigation.
