Restaurant Robbery Suspect In Custody — Deputies Issue Arrest Warrant For His Accomplice

Release Date: March 2, 2006

Shelby County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a 17-year-old boy today for robbing the McDonald’s restaurant on Hacks Cross Road in South-East Shelby County this past Monday night (February 27). The suspect turned himself in just after four o’clock today for his role in the robbery which allegedly involved an employee at the restaurant.

Sheriff’s Deputies have issued an arrest warrant for the other person they believe assisted him in the hold up. Investigators are looking for Ronnie Jackson, Jr., 21, of Memphis. Deputies say the teenager along with Jackson, who was armed with an assault rifle, entered the back door of the restaurant just after eleven o’clock Monday night.

Once inside, Deputies say Jackson and the teenager ordered all five employees to lie down on the floor. The manager was then robbed of an undetermined amount of money. Investigators believe an employee at the restaurant, Andre Dean, 18, of Memphis, helped arrange the robbery.
