Citizen Sign-Up for Sheriff’s Office Volunteer Positions To Be Held This Weekend

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office will join other law enforcement, fire and emergency services agencies this Saturday, March 27, 2004, for the Arlington Fire Department’s “Spring Safety Day.”

The event will be held at 6230 Greenlee Street from Noon until 4:00 p.m. Agencies will demonstrate their equipment and provide safety demonstrations and brochures on fire safety, crime prevention and other topics.

“This will be an excellent opportunity for us to sign-on new volunteers for reserve deputies, emergency services volunteers, senior citizen visitors and other volunteer positions with the Sheriff’s Office. It’s our goal in 2004 to double our reserves through this and other community events,” said Shelby County Sheriff Mark H. Luttrell, Jr.
