Release Date: July 16, 2007
Shelby County Sheriff’s Deputies say a motorcyclist remains in critical condition today after a crash last night in south-east Shelby County.
About 8:45, Christopher Rose, 29, of Memphis, was riding his 2007 Suzuki motorcycle south on Hacks Cross Road. As the motorcycle approached Lowrance Road, another vehicle traveling north on Hacks Cross suddenly turned in front of the motorcycle causing it to crash.
Details about the make and model of the other vehicle are sketchy. Shelby County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Investigators say it was a dark-colored truck or SUV. No license plate information was available.
The driver of the truck or SUV refused to stop and was last seen going west on Lowrance.
Christopher Rose continues to be treated for critical injures at the Regional Medical Center.
Anyone with information about the driver of the truck or SUV is asked to call the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Bureau at (901) 867-1420 or Crime Stoppers at (901) 528-CASH (2274).
