Sheriff Mark Luttrell to attend two community events on Thursday, December 18, 2003

Sheriff Mark Luttrell will be attending two events this week to initiate new community partnerships.

  • On Thursday, December 18, 2003 at 11:30 a. m., the Sheriff will speak to the “100 Black Men of Memphis” organization. The event will be held at the Leach Family Restaurant at 694 Madison Street. Sheriff Luttrell will be meeting with the organization to see how the Sheriff's Office can work jointly with the group in various community initiatives.

 

  • Also on Thursday, December 18, 2003, the Sheriff will be at Clear Channel Broadcasting on Union Avenue Extended, near Poplar, at 2:00 p. m. The Sheriff will be presenting “Certificates of Appreciation” to Clear Channel Broadcasting, Federal Express, Time Warner Cable, and Cingular Wireless for their helping sponsor the “We Are Tomorrow R-U” television show called “Drugs, The True Reality.” Judy McEwen, Executive Producer of the show is hosting the event. The Shelby County Sheriff's Office was the primary sponsor for the show which has aired in Memphis several times and in other cities across the Mid-South.
