Community Sign-Ups This Weekend For Reserve Deputy And Volunteer Positions With The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office Reserve Division will have representatives at Hickory Ridge Mall this Saturday, April 17, and Sunday, April 18, to encourage citizens to be a volunteer with the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office. Hickory Ridge Mall is located on Winchester Road near Hickory Hill.

A display will be set up near the main entrance to the mall on the Winchester side. Sign-ups on Saturday will be from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. On Sunday, officers will be at the mall from Noon until 6:00 p.m.

“This will be an excellent opportunity for us to sign-on new volunteers for reserve deputies, emergency services volunteers, senior citizen visitors and other volunteer positions with the Sheriff’s Office. It’s our goal in 2004 to double our reserves through this and other community events,” said Shelby County Sheriff Mark H. Luttrell, Jr.
