Shelby County Sheriff’s Office S.W.A.T. Team To Appear On Nation-Wide TV Commercial

Television viewers of the ESPN channel will see members of the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office S.W.A.T team appear on a commercial next month. The commercial advertises boots made for law enforcement agencies.

Shelby County Deputies were chosen for the commercial sponsored by the Original S.W.A.T.® Footwear Company. Company representatives were impressed with the appearance and performance of the Shelby County Deputies two years ago at the national S.W.A.T. competition in Spartanburg, South Carolina. So earlier this year, members of the Shelby County S.W.A.T. team were contacted about being the actors for the commercial.

Using a condemned apartment building as a backdrop for the commercial, Shelby County S.W.A.T. Deputies are shown wearing the boots while storming a building, kicking down doors, and pursuing a suspect.

“This commercial is an important part of our new marketing program”, stated Erin Cabezut, Original S.W.A.T. marketing director and the shoot supervisor. “We are so lucky to work with the Shelby County S.W.A.T. team. They’ve been very professional and a pleasure to work with. We donated a pair of boots to each member of the Shelby County S.W.A.T. Team for their participation, and will be a sponsor at their upcoming S.W.A.T. Competition.”

Filmed by Memphis-based Running Pony Productions, the 30-second spot will air during the 2005 Original S.W.A.T. World Challenge programming on ESPN, currently scheduled for July 2, 2005. Check local listings for dates and times.
