Mid-South Fugitive Task Force Arrest Suspected Restaurant Robber
Release Date: March 10, 2006
The United State’s Marshal’s Mid-South Fugitive Task Force arrested a man early this morning suspected of being one of four men involved in the robbery of a McDonald’s restaurant recently.
A Sheriff’s Deputy and Memphis Police Officer serve on the task force and assisted in the arrest of Ronnie Jackson, 22, of Memphis.
The U.S. Marshal’s Office Task Force tracked Jackson to an apartment in the 3500 block of Longbow in Whitehaven where he was taken into custody about 12:30 this morning.
On the night of February 27, two men, one armed with an assault rifle, went in the back door of the restaurant at 3805 Hacks Cross Road.
Employees were forced to lie on the floor while cash was taken from the store’s manager. One of those employees, Andre Dean, 18 of Memphis, was arrested for helping orchestrate the robbery.
Deputies believe a 17 year-old boy, who was also arrested shortly after the hold-up, was the other robber with Jackson. Another man, Jacques Davis, 18, of Memphis, was arrested for driving the getaway car.
As with the other three suspects, Ronnie Jackson has been charged with one count of Aggravated Robbery and four counts of Aggravated Assault.
