A Cordova teenager was stabbed to death early today after he and another teenager got into a fight. It happened in East Shelby County about 4 o'clock this morning.
Sheriff's Deputies were called to a house in the 8500 block of Jack Bond Road in the Brunswick area. A party was going on at the house and several people were present.
When deputies arrived, they found David Patten, 19, of Cordova, suffering from several stab wounds. Patten was airlifted to The Regional Medical Center where he died a short time later.
Within an hour of the murder, Deputies arrested another teenager who they believe stabbed Patten. Investigators have charged Zachary Perry, 18, of Arlington, with 2nd Degree murder.
Zachary Perry is being held at the Shelby County Jail.
