Media Coverage For Funeral Services of Shelby County Sheriff’s Deputy Tim Dunn

Visitation

• Tonight at Memorial Park Funeral Home at 5668 Poplar from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral home representatives will allow the media on the property tonight, both outside and inside.
  
• Deputy Dunn’s body will be in the chapel at the funeral home. TV cameras will be permitted in the back of the chapel.
  
• Representatives of the Dunn family ask that the media not approach Deputy Dunn’s wife or other relatives tonight.

“Sea of Blue” Processional

• Representatives of several law enforcement agencies will show their respect tonight for Deputy Dunn by conducting a “sea of blue” processional. Officers who are on their dinner breaks or who are not on service calls will assemble on Walnut Grove Road near the Agricenter tonight at 7:30.
  
• Squad cars with their blue lights on will proceed west on Walnut Grove to Interstate 240, then continue west on Poplar Avenue past Memorial Park Funeral Home. The procession will end at White Station Road.

Funeral Service

• Tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. at Hope Presbyterian Church at 8500 Walnut Grove Road. There will not be a pool camera.
  
• Cameras will be allowed inside. However, the family again requests that the media not approach them for comments during or following the funeral service.

Burial

• Representatives of many local and out of town law enforcement agencies are expected to be part of the funeral escort.
  
• The funeral route will begin at Hope Presbyterian Church, proceed west on Walnut Grove to Yates, then north to Poplar to Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorial Fund

• A memorial fund has been established for Deputy Tim Dunn.
  
• His family has asked that donations in his honor be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
