Memphis Woman Dies Following Vehicle Crash

Release Date: June 3, 2005

Shelby County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Investigators say a Memphis woman died today after her car crashed in South Shelby County.

Deputies say Kenya White, 30, of Memphis, was driving a 1996 Saturn eastbound on Holmes Road just after 8:30 this morning. As the vehicle approached Forest Wind, it veered off the road into a ditch.

A passenger in the front seat said just before the crash Ms. White complained of blurred vision and then fell unconscious. That passenger and Ms. White’s two children who were in the backseat were not hurt.

Ms. White was rushed to Methodist Hospital Germantown. However, doctors were not able to revive her.

The Shelby County Medical Examiner has been asked to rule on the cause of Ms. White’s death.
