The Ladies’ Auxiliary of V.F.W. Post 4916 will present more than 100 stuffed animals to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office tomorrow night. The toys will be placed in the trunks of Sheriff’s Office vehicles and given to children who are involved in crime incidents or traffic crashes.

“We appreciate the partnership the Sheriff’s Office has with the Veterans of Foreign Wars and particularly, the Ladies’ Auxiliary of Post 4916. Many children involved in critical events will be comforted by these stuffed animals thanks to the generosity of the auxiliary,” said Shelby County Sheriff Mark H. Luttrell, Jr.

Sheriff Luttrell and members of his command staff will receive the animals at V.F.W. Post 4916 headquarters at 847 Whitney Avenue. The program starts at 7:00 p.m.
