Woman Drowns In Residential Swimming Pool

A North Shelby County woman drowned early this morning in a neighbor’s swimming pool near Millington.

Sheriff’s detectives say Madeleine Lauderback, 33, had gone to the neighbor’s home in the 1400 block of Walsh Cove to visit friends and swim.

People at the house saw her sitting on the pool steps just before one o’clock this morning.  Moments later, they found her unconscious in the deep end of the pool. 

Paramedics tried to revive her but she died a short time later at Methodist Hospital North.

The Shelby County Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of Ms. Lauderback’s death.
