A Memphis woman was critically injured this morning after she jumped from the vehicle she was riding in on Bill Morris Parkway.

Just after 9:00, Shelby County Sheriff’s Office Deputies say Titania Reynolds, 35, and Timothy Ingram, 39, both of Memphis, were in a silver Chevy Astro van traveling east on Bill Morris Parkway (Highway 385).  Near the Hacks Cross exit, the two started arguing.

Ingram, who was driving, told Deputies that Reynolds, his niece, was upset about a personal matter.  During their discussion, Ingram said his niece opened the front passenger door several times and threatened to jump out.

Ingram said as he slowed the van to about 35 mph, Reynolds again opened the door but this time jumped.  Her body rolled several times and was almost struck by other vehicles.

Deputies say Ingram immediately stopped and loaded Reynolds back into the van.  He made a U-turn on Bill Morris Parkway and drove west until he exited on Winchester.

Ingram then stopped at the Family Physicians office at 7685 Winchester.  Employees treated Reynolds until a Memphis Fire Department ambulance arrived. She was taken to the Regional Medical where she remains in critical condition.
