The Multi-Agency Gang Unit which was formed in 2011 is a group comprised of elite highly-trained members of the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division, Memphis Police Department Organized Crime Unit as well as the ATF, FBI and the U.S. Marshals.
MGU’s mission is to conduct long term investigations on criminal gangs and to dismantle the gang organization as a whole and to disrupt the illegal activities perpetrated by gang members.
