SPECIAL EVENT SERVICES
Volunteers assigned to Special Event Services assist with Special Events involving traffic details, civilian patrols, and other task may be assigned by Command Staff. Special Event Services will work alongside the Reserve, Emergency Services, Traffic, Patrol, and other divisions in the department. Special Events range from 5k’s, parades, fairs, fireworks, golf tournaments, and many more.

Service Requirements
- Volunteers are required to work 16 hours per month
- Attend 16 hours training for onboarding
- Attend 8 hours per year of In-Service

DAY-TO-DAY EXPERIENCE
While working for Special Event Services (SES), you will assist mainly with traffic control for Special Events. When not working Special Events, you will have the option to ride shifts. During shift rides, you will respond to crashes and assist with traffic control working alongside Sheriff’s Office Patrol and Traffic Officer(s). Special Event Services may be required to respond to Search and Rescue Callouts as well. Working in Special Event Services gives everyone the opportunity to serve their community and work alongside Law Enforcement.
